Andrea studied fine art, with a focus on portraiture and traditional painting techniques, at La Massana Art & Design in Barcelona, Spain. After over fourteen years of painting portraits, nudes and abstract works, she has discovered a deep passion for children’s literature and illustration.
She is inspired by the illustrators she loved as a child, such as Edward Julius Detmold, Paul Goble, and Diane and Leo Dillon. Watercolor, colored pencil, pen, and ink are her preferred mediums.
Andrea lives, works and plays fetch with her dog in beautiful Ballard, Seattle, WA.
